Re: The big ION jitter data collection thread - BoxFreak - 02-11-2012

1. OpenELEC Build: stable (1.0) - 1.0.2 ION x86_64
2. Hardware: Shuttle XS35GT
3. XBMC Settings under System -> Video -> Playback: All default, however I´ve tested nearly all possible combinations
4. SMB stream over 100M ethernet, also tested with local files, but problem persists.

Re: The big ION jitter data collection thread - scdo - 02-22-2012

I have this issue on my XS25GTV2 but not on my nearly identical XS35GT (original).

See my thread on the topic here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?p=1025784#post1025784

Re: The big ION jitter data collection thread - barrydocks - 04-05-2012

1. OpenELEC Build I have tried so far:
OpenELEC-Generic.i386-devel-20120322044918-r10254
OpenELEC_PVR-Generic.i386-devel-20120326132102-r9938
OpenELEC-ION.x86_64-devel-20120322051536-r10254

These were all upgraded from stable Generic 1.0.2 - I didn't really notice the jitter until upgrading

2. Hardware: Shuttle XS35GTV2
3. XBMC Settings under System -> Video -> Playback: All default
4. SMB stream over 1GB ethernet (but the ethernet port on the machine is 100MB) and files on local USB HDD.

1/5/12 Update
The frame dropping is significantly improved but not completely eliminated with the latests beta release:
OpenELEC 2.0 (Beta 2) - 1.95.2 ION x86_64

Re: The big ION jitter data collection thread - xfear - 04-23-2012

  • OpenELEC Build: OpenELEC_PVR-ION.x86_64-1.95.2 (though I do not use PVR, I just downloaded the wrong version Wink)
  • Hardware: ZOTAC ZBOX HD-ID40
  • XBMC Settings:
System -> Video -> Playback: Sync to display-enabled, Sync Audio-disabled

  • Source: Everything is streamed from an Unraid NAS server, with GB LAN.

I've been running XMBC Live for a year or so without any issues, but with the release of Eden, I wanted to take advantage of the ION optimization of OpenElec. So far, I'm impressed on how fast and efficient it is. I then noticed this stuttering video issue which seems to only happen on OpenElec.
