Asus E35M1 PVR System Suspend Problem - lufi - 01-07-2012

Hi,

i have some problems using Standby with my HTPC PVR System.

First time i have tested the System die's in an Black screen.
After adding this 'modprobe -r dvb-usb-technisat-usb2' to the tvheadend.power for unloading
the DVB-S Adapter after 'killall tvheadend' and load the module after resume,
all components will be unload (tvheadend, DVB-S Adapter, Lirc, xbmc) and the the System reumes immediately.

Help needed ;-)

Aw: Asus E35M1 PVR System Suspend Problem - schimi2k - 01-08-2012

try the new version:
OpenELEC_PVR-Fusion.i386-devel-20120108033823-r9463

the suspend works for me with this new rls - i have problems with the previous version too

btw - with every rls i love my HTPC more and more ^^

The Logs from OpenELEC_PVR-Fusion.i386-devel-20120108033823-r9463 installed this afternoon ;-(

Do you have any special Bios Config ? C6 Disabled ?

Aw: Asus E35M1 PVR System Suspend Problem - schimi2k - 01-08-2012

hmmm no special settings...
maybe different remote ? i have the VRC-1100 remote (WIKI) i press the Power Button and then the HTPC goes " off " and the Power Light is flashing on & off - i can "wake up " the system with the power button or the OK button

Re: Aw: Asus E35M1 PVR System Suspend Problem - lufi - 01-08-2012

hmm, i must test it tomorrow without Remote an DVB-S Receiver.

My System:

Asus E35M1 2GB RAM
OCZ 32gb ssd
Medion X10 Remote
Technisat USB2 DVB-S Receiver
1 TB Toshiba USB HDD
Rapoo Multimedia Keyboard / Touchpad

Re: Asus E35M1 PVR System Suspend Problem - RogerS - 01-09-2012

I've also trouble in powering on the PC. When I select the Suspend mode in XBMC the PC won't shut down correctly. The video output goes black with on blinking cursor somewhere in the upper right corner and the PC doesn't switch off. I need to enforce a power down (pressing 7 seconds the power button) on the PC.
It makes no difference if I have C6 state enabled or not.

My main different with the other posters in this topic, is that I have an ASUS E45M1-De Luxe. I think that due the newer video unit, the problem lies in the video driver when going to suspend mode...
I'm using an e-home compatible USB remote which works, for suspendign and powering on a PC, under windows very well.

Aw: Re: Asus E35M1 PVR System Suspend Problem - lufi - 01-09-2012

@RogerS

test unloading the DVB Receiver before Suspend!

Re: Asus E35M1 PVR System Suspend Problem - RogerS - 01-09-2012

@Lufi

Maybe I was not completely clear but I tested this on my OpenElec PC (ASUS E45M1-De Luxe) in the living room and this PC has no DVB card. Apart from 4 GByte RAM, 1 Terabyte Harddisk there is only an e-Home USB infrared receiver, a wireless USB Logitech Keyboard (which works perfectly) and a fixed UTP cable connected.

On the ASUS E45M1-PRO with a DVB-C card supend mode works very well under Windows 7.

Aw: Re: Asus E35M1 PVR System Suspend Problem - lufi - 01-09-2012

Do you test the latest nightly ?
