Question on Install - MR.WaynesWorld - 05-05-2012

Working with a Foxconn nT-i1500 system. It has the latest Atom processor and a Intel GMA 3600 graphics adapter in it.

What flavor of OpenELEC should I try to install on it?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Question on Install - chewitt - 05-05-2012

Use the "Intel" image if you have an Intel GPU

Re: Question on Install - MR.WaynesWorld - 05-05-2012

OK Tried the Intel flavor of OpenELEC.

First tried installing to the SSD. That resulted in no boot disk on reboot.

I then installed to a USB flash drive. That booted but stays on the OpenELEC Splash Screen. No further...

Is there maybe an issue with Beta 3? Or is this box not capable of running OpenELEC?

Re: Question on Install - chewitt - 05-05-2012

if it remains "stuck" on the splash it's probably as Xorg hasn't started so nothing refreshed the screen since the splash was painted. You'll probably find the rest of the OS is working. If you can SSH into the box and pastebin the contents of /var/log/messages and /var/log/Xorg.0.0.log we can see what is/isn't working.

OK as soon as I SSH into the box I see this,

BTW this pastebin is new to me so I'm hoping it shows up.. Also there was no Xorg.0.0.log in /var/log/

Re: Question on Install - chewitt - 05-05-2012

Please do not paste logs here, they are usually unreadable and truncated. Use pastebin.com (and share working links). The login error can be ignored it will go away when Xorg (and thus XBMC) starts and XBMC creates some working directories for itself.

Can you share "lspci -vvv" output

Re: Question on Install - MR.WaynesWorld - 05-05-2012

Sorry about posting the log...

The output from that command is quite large. How can I pipe it to a file so I can download it?

Re: Question on Install - MR.WaynesWorld - 05-05-2012

Figured out how to pipe the output of the command. Here is a pastebin link to view the output of the command.

@Chewitt, Any ideas on the log I posted with pastebin?
Thanks...
