I have the same problem with a Foxconn nT-i1500. Intel Atom with Intel GMA 3600 Graphics. Been trying to get it fixed. Still no luck....

Do we need to submit this bug as a bug somewhere officially? Or posting on forum is enough?

Bugs should be reported (with evidence of the problem, logs etc.) via github

Re: Dell Inspiron Mini 10 installation problem - porga - 05-08-2012

OK, that is good to know, since there is a Shutdown problem with beta3 (other topic).

Please point us how to extract log in this case? Since OE hangs on boot, does it writes log somewhere inside system?

If yes, I could put that SD card in another working system and extract log file, and post it here or on Github.
But I need info which file to send. Thanks,

Copy/Paste error report I published on github today:

OK, time to update this too. I tried today with 1.95.4. No luck. During install Openelec does not recognize HDD. I installed it on SD, and after that on USB stick. Installation on both media goes without any errors or warnings.
During first boot, system hangs and reports some integer trouble. More you can se on this screenshots:

Since system configures itself during the install (i think) there is no logs folder so I cannot post any. removed USB stick and took few screens on win7 using Diskinternals ux partition reader. So you can see how it lookd in "My Computer" and content of two partitions on USB stick. I do not know what to do else, I would really like to install on Dell Mini, since it has HDMI port faster processor and larger disc than eee pc.

I hope developers will look at this.

How can I know that someone who is responsible looked at errors I reported on Github, and that they are accepted?
I would like to help further by simulating situations and taking logs, but I cannot this way. Can I have some info, please?

Re: Dell Inspiron Mini 10 installation problem - porga - 06-11-2012

This is a shi**y Intel GMA500 chipset linux unsupported driver problem.
I installed and enabled xbmc in Lubuntu 12.04 yesterday. system works but video playback is laggy. this is 1.6 atom dual core machine. I suppose it is a driver issue, since Openelec works better on eeepc 701 with 900mhz Celeron.
Funny, since GMA 500 was intended for video playback capability back then...
Today i found some new driver for gma500 and win7. It should have opengl 2.0 and hw decoding supported. I will try with win7 and that driver again.
I saw that joly clioud os supports gma500 out of the box. maybe i will try with it as well. shame it has boxee and not xbmc as default media center app.
