zotac id80 and ad04 and bluetooth - mikeybs - 02-14-2013

I am trying to get a wiimote to pair with my zotac id80 openelec box. I installed the xbmc-wiimote openelec add on, and then attempted to pair my wiimote, but it did not work. The lights flashed for about 20 seconds after holding 1&2 on the wiimote, then they turned off.

I haven't found much troubleshooting info for the openelec xbmc-wiimote add on.

I know the id80 is supposed to have built in bluetooth. Some command output:
root ~ # ps aux|grep blue
305 root 0:00 /usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd
2385 root 0:00 grep blue

I'm not sure if that means the bluetooth device has been detected. I believe it is an internal USB device
Bus 003 Device 006: ID 0471:20cc Philips (or NXP)

but I am not sure.

I also have a zotac ad04 that is displaying the exact same behavior. It also is supposed to have internal bluetooth. For this one though, I see the device in the lspci output, which is different from the id80
root ~ #lspci
04:00.1 Bluetooth: Ralink corp. Device 3298

this returns the same result on the ad04 as the id80
root ~ # ps aux|grep blue
286 root 0:00 /usr/lib/bluetooth/bluetoothd
11121 root 0:00 grep blue

So can anyone help me track down what is going wrong? The only thing left I can think of trying is to use the 32 bit version of openelec instead of the 64 bit version. Is there any chance this would solve the problem?
