No sound Xtreamer x86_64 Version:2.99.4 (3.0 RC 4) - laborspy - 03-03-2013

Updated to Xtreamer x86_64 Version:2.99.4 (3.0 RC 4) last evening and I have no sound again over HDMI. The plughw:1,7 HDMI is no longer an option in the audio settings.

No sound Xtreamer x86_64 Version:2.99.4 (3.0 RC 4) - maara - 03-04-2013

A temporary workaround from the github...

https://github.com/OpenELEC/OpenELEC.tv/issues/2000

Create the autostart.sh containing the for statement as below:
Quote:#!/bin/sh
for i in $(seq 1 50) ; do
ps | grep -q "[u]devadm settle" || break
usleep 200000
done

not same problem, though I did try with no effect. HDMI is listed as an option but it doesn't matter what options I select I have no audio.

Same problem here, no hdmi audio output and unfortunately no way of downgrading to rc3, which renders my ultra2 useless till next release Sad

No sound Xtreamer x86_64 Version:2.99.4 (3.0 RC 4) - strandedinnz - 03-08-2013

I had this issue as well, but I solved it by choosing the clicking through the audio output selections until I saw a HDMI output that was linked to my Samsung TV (the word "SAM something something" was in the output name, when I get home I'll look it up)

Got sound after that .. just need to find out why audio seems to stutter every 15 minutes or so, and why audio does not play immediately .. seems ther eis a 1 to 2 second delay before it starts audio after video, and the video does a little fast forward catch up.

solution worked for my Xtreamer Ultra 1, but had to do 2 restarts after deleting the audio conf files. So, don't resign if it's not working after deleting and first restart...
