Almost there! Bluetooth Headphones on OpenElec 4.0 - ncardoso - 03-10-2014

Hi,

I have a pair of Philips SHB7000 Bluetooth headphones that I want to connect to OpenELEC for ages  .

I've been all through the forum, and I know that BT audio seems like a low priority issue, and I believe few efforts are being made to fix that. Yet, since I want to be able see some movies without annoying other people, I wanted to have a go at 4.0.

So far, OE 4.0 has solved all of my problems regarding mounting external disk partitions, which is a good sign.

On OE Settings, I can see that the bluetooth option actually detects my Bluetooth headphones, with a speaker icon. I put them on discovery mode, and when I ask it to "trust and connect", I hear a typical bleep that a device is trying to connect with it.

In a couple of seconds, it says that it is connected, but then it fails with a "Bluetooth error, file not found".

It seems that it was almost there, it only needs a config file or something. So can you please help me help you, and tell me what kind of logs/config files you want me to post here so that I can finally have a working OE with all my needs.

Cheers,

There is no bluetooth audio routing in OpenELEC as of yet.

I know, only PS3, Wii and Xbox remotes. But it seems so close... almost like dying on the beach.

All it would probably take is compilation of the btsco alsa module but I'm not sure how xbmc would hand audio device switching.

you must build byself with pulseaudio support enabled in projects/*/options (will not work for RPi/Cuboxi project! and may unstable)
