SATA HDD AHCI mode, problems installing OpenELEC - willycast - 08-25-2016

Hi,
I have a computer with:

MB: Asus P5E-VM DO
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
HDD: WD 500GB SATA

Until now I run a Windows7, i configured the HDD mode as AHCI (not IDE which was the option by default) to run faster.
Now I've installed the OpenELEC (from USB-installer, version "OpenELEC-Generic.x86_64-6.0.3.img.gz"), when installation finished I reboot the system. Now when I power on the computer appears a BIOS message "Auto-detecting AHCI Port 4" (my HDD is configured in SATA slot 4) and I can't do nothing more.

To solve the problem I remove the battery and after 30seconds I put it back. Then BIOS configuration becames by default and HDD mode is set to "IDE".

Can't I use the AHCI mode with OpenELEC?
If I use IDE mode (yet I doesn't try) the HDD will work slowly with OpenELEC?

can someone help me? thank you very much!
bye!
