Adding a Trusted Root Certificate Authority - SkeelKat - 08-29-2017

Hi There.

I have made changes to my home network to intercept HTTPS traffic and cache it for faster serving to various machines. (for reasons not worth mentioning here)
Thus now no HTTPS traffic will be downloaded unless the machine on the network have a Trusted Root Certificate for my CA on my Firewall.

I have several Ubuntu Server 16.04 machines that is running in the network and installed the CA Certificate and everything is working 100% on those machines.
How can this be achieved on OpenElec?

I could add the PEM format Certificate to the /etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt file but I do not seem to have write access to this folder?

Any ideas would be most welcome.
Thanks
