Fixed output volume for maximum audio quality ? - emil003 - 09-09-2017

Hello,

i use openELEC / Kodi for playing FLAC files up to 24/192.
And want the most audiophile "way" to transfer the data to my external DAC.

When i first installed everything, i wasn't able to control volume via "+" or "-" key, it was fix.
That was exactly what i wanted.
i tried some settings, now i can control the volume via "+" or "-".
And i'm not able to undo this, whatever i change in the system / audio / music... settings, ability to control volume in kodi/openelec remains.

But i don't want to be able to control the output volume. It should be sent bit-perfect via ALSA USB SPDIF to my DAC. i use a preamplifier to control the volume.

So could you please tell me where i can change the setting and enable fix output volume for bit-perfect SPDIF output?

Thank you very much!
Best regards
Emil
