TDS return filing is mandatory for deductor, taxpayer, employer. TDS stands for tax deducted at source. Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) is a mean of collecting income tax in India, under the Indian Income Tax Act of 1961. A TDS Return filing is a quarterly statement which has to be submitted to the income tax department. TDS Return contains details of TDS deducted and deposited by the deductor.
