We are receiving many emails from people asking us if there will be S802 or newer SoC version of WeTek. What we can tell is that we took different aproach than any other China company which published their AMLogic AML8726-MX based device. Experience of people which used that products was not so good, but after we made our in-house development especially from Android and Driver/Kernel side, AML8726-MX is well fitted inside of WeTek Play.
We are monitoring market so let's see what future will bring. We fully optimized SW to fly on this Dual-Core ARM. @Sobtech Thank You! We received your email with discount code request. Even You are not donator of OpenELEC, discount code was dispatched to You. We hope You will enjoy in WeTek Play and OpenELEC on it.

Just bought one too!
Looks good, hopefully a decent device with a half decent remote that doesn't look and feel like it came out of a Christmas cracker!

Please post a review of 23,976 playback when you get yours boxes guys !
I cant stand with the stutter my M8N box gives me once a minute or so (same goes for Mini x8 with Openelec) Really hope this box can do true 23,976 output! Will wait before i buy one. So far i haven`t seen any proof of any Amlogic Openelec box that can output true 23,976 hz , seems more like only 24hz Is there some ssh command i can use to see current running "1920x1080@ hz" when i play a 23,976 fps movie? Some guy over mini x forum said Openelec on mini x8 was running @23.999hz : Quote:This is right. On OpenELEC 5 RC1, 24Hz output is actually 23.999Hz and 60Hz is 59.999Hz. You are bound to get stutter with 23.976fps, 29.97fps and with 3:2 pulldown playback. I don't see a reason for using OpenELEC without this corrected.

Thanks ! It seems it has some problems with menus and live tv running in background , small stutter and freezing.
The live tv "flickering issue" is that solved in the latest build ? Seems like it is a helix issue, cause the first Gotham build did't have it.

Is the device capable of playing HD audio streams (Dolby True HD, DTS HD Master Audio)?
