Transmission settings not saved [SOLVED]

Hi, if I change the transmission settings, they change back to the defaults after a while.
I tried changing from the web gui as well as from the remote gui but it doesn't work.

Do you know what is wrong and where can I find the settings through ssh?

It turns out that other settings (like automatic scanning of the video folders) are not saved as well...

I have the same problem. I found out that you can change the folder by editing "/storage/.xbmc/addons/service.downloadmanager.transmission/bin/transmission.service"

Unfortunately you can't change the port, the speeds, ... It would be nice to be able to put a custom settings.json in the .config folder to change the download speeds because I want to download at night only.

EDIT: Unfortunately my system doesn't have service.downloadmanager.transmission in the /storage/.xbmc/addons folder.

Mmm, I am running the developersbuild. How did you install transmission? With the XBMC addon or another way?

You can try "find" to look for the file:

OK i have some updates...

There are some settings stored in /storage/.cache/transmission/settings.json

There is everything. If you look in /var/log/transmission.log you can see that it says transmission loads its settings from there. So I went and changed something from the webUI and noticed that nothing is saved in the settings.json. Therefore i edited it on my own with vi and changed something. However, after a reset all the defaults were back!

I even changed the permissions to read-only by root, but the file settings and permisions are reset after reboot. That means that the file is overwritten.

I am suspecting the openelec is recreating this file using minimal settings from the /storage/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/os.openelec.settings/settings.xml file and then overwrites the previous one... If that is the case, I don't think we can solve this problem ...

Yes, I found that file too. But there has to be another file that tells your transmission where to download. And those settings aren't in the settings.xml file...

Yes, this is what I am saying. If those settings are just defaults and the file creation takes place in an internal function of the openelec, then we are screwed!

No unfortunately I don't have .service file...
