In case you seek change in Firm Name or other GST data for your business. Here’s the step-by-step guide-
- Visit GST portalLogin using your credentials to make changes Go to “Services” tab from homepage (after login)Select “Registration” and click onto “Amendment of Registration Core Fields”Your ‘Business Details’ tab will appear. Select the appropriate field to make changes as per your need.
In case making change in the business name follow the following steps:
- For making a change in the name of the firm, click on the edit ('pencil') icon on 'Trade Name'.Enter the new name of the firm in the box.Select the 'Date of Amendment' and also provide the reasons for making change in the trade name.Click on the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page.Verify other information in "Business details", press "Continue" button at the bottom of the page.Select the "Verification" tab and click on the Verification checkbox. Enter "Name of Authorized Signatory" from the drop down list and also enter the name of the place in "Place" field.The last step of a successful amendment is signing the form by using a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)/ EVC and you are done with the change in firm name.
