I've had a look at the available downloads and only ATV1 is listed.

Is there a way of working this from a USB Flash drive on an ATV2? Or any other way?

it's not possible, although you can jailbreak the mk2 AppleTV and install XBMC directly ..more instructions are on the XBMC website Smile
