Hi!

Is it somehow possible to set a default language for EPG? I live in Finland and my EPG-info is a mixture of finnish and swedish because both languages are sent here in EPG-data. I would like to have my EPG only in finnish.

Hi,

Same problem, i can't find the file, where I can write in the EPG Languages default language parameter. Where can I find it? I need a hungarian epg language.

Under other Linux distro, the file was the "/etc/vdr/setup.conf".

use nano to edit /storage/.xbmc/addons/service.multimedia.vdr-addon/bin/vdr.service (via ssh)

fins the line:

LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$ADDON_DIR/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" vdr.bin $VDR_ARG &>$LOG_FILE

add LANG=en_US.UTF-8 in front of it:

LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$ADDON_DIR/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" vdr.bin $VDR_ARG &>$LOG_FILE

then delete /storage/videos/epg.data and reboot

EDIT: don't forget to reset epg database in xbmc

I forgot to mention that I´m using TVHeadend. Haven´t been able to install vdr-service (it´s somehow broken in recent releases?). I guess its a little bit harder to change epg-language with TVHeadend?

i have the same problem, using tvheadend and the latest OE 1.95.7 .

where can i change the preferred language on tvheadend for EPG ?
