How to make a scan?

But I don't have w_scan in my system (didn't found).
Where it comes from, and do I need that?

Same problem for me :

w_scan addon
sundtek addon

I stopped thheadend and tried to initiate a scan and got :

hello.
I did downloaded w_scan from its developers site and started.
First I did have a message, that w_scan didn't found a valid DVB card.
in a -H experts help I did found a switch -a N, where N is the number of your adapter.
Now it scans right now.

Next question will be: How to tell tvheadend, that it should use generated cnahhels.conf file?

but for my DVB stick it is useless, I have "AVerMedia_AverTV_Hybrid_Volar_HX_(A827) (USB)" Stick
Does any one knows solution for this stick?

Before running a scan run

export LD_PRELOAD=/storage/.xbmc/addons/driver.dvb.sundtek-mediatv/lib/libmediaclient.so

And it is working. I use it today.
And I'm working on a new version of this addon.

And why you need manual scan if using tvheadned? Just use web interface.

because, as I already says above, and also here, tvheadend sees the tuner, but do NOT uses it some how.
It does NOT scan the channels with it.
But with DVB-S card it do everything very well. (I have that DVB-T USB tunder and DVB-S PCIe card tuner in a system)

I do NOT have sundtek tuner but AVerMedia_AverTV_Hybrid_Volar_HX_(A827) tuner.
And because of that, I do NOT have such dir /storage/.xbmc/addons/driver.dvb.sundtek-mediatv/ on my system at all.
And also there are NO such dirs /storage/.xbmc/addons/driver.dvb.* there.

MasterAlexei, sorry for mix up. I replay to techouse. Sundtek driver is for sundtek devices only.
