For a while I have been using the OpenELEC 1.0 version on my Xtreamer, mainly for audio and video playback.
In the past month I've been working with a friend on setting up a separate TV server.
As I had to overcome the CI+ implementation complexity of my Ziggo cable supplier, we finally found one solution that works: MediaPortal TV server on a Windows 7 machine with HDHomerun.
Naturally I need a (and if succesfull, multiple) client(s) to operate the Mediaportal TV server both for scheduling recordings, live TV and for play back. Most obvious solution is to put a Windows OS on my Xtreamer and install a Mediaportal client.
However, I've become a great fan of XBMC and OPEN Elec I want to stick to this UI if possible.
Is the Open Elec PVR build suitable for my purpose? If not, which XBMC client can I turn to that, preferably, is easy to install and does not run on Windows.
Thanks for your help.
