Addons such as imdb - won't download

Is there a way to change the scraper to imdb? I can't install any addon, except via a zip file as using the XBMC Addon approach yields downloads which stay at 0%. Is there a way around this? Or is it that XBMC Addons are sometimes not compatible? I can install skins via the zip file approach but the same skin can't be downloaded via xbmc's approach.

On a previous HDMI related topic. I moved my ATV with RC3 to an actual hdmi port on the TV as opposed to a switch. While you have to boot with the TV on that port, I can now switch to other ports without openelec freezing. It's been two days with no freezing so that is a good sign.

Sounds weird, those should work just fine. You could try to "Force refresh" of the xbmc.org add-ons repo. This is found under context menu.

That doesn't work. I can install addons ( some at least) from a zip file, but the System approach is downloading the addons to an are which is not writable I suspect. Have you actually installed an addon from the system on an ATV1 using openelec?
