Hey guys,
So openelec has been strongly recomended to me by a mate who is running it.
I have just purchansed a NAS system to store a heap of media on that I want to be able to stream to my TV downstairs without my main PC on. I have been looking for a couple of days now but I am so confused with it all!!
What I am wondering is what would be the best HTPC system to get to stream to my TV. Some of the files are like 15+gig and some are bluray (not sure if this makes a difference).
The way it played out in my head was that the HTPC would be reading the files off the NAS - so the HTPC would be doing all the hard work?
I would prefer not to build a system myself, and I would also be after a reasonably small system. I was thinking the Asus eb1503 however this is quite expensive and I honestly have no idea if it is overkill or not. An alternative was the Asus eb1501, but that is like 3 years old now & it scared me off, as I would prefer to spend a couple of extra dollars today rather than have to buy a new system in the future.
Thanks in advance guys.
