Hello,
I have a Asus 1215N Netbook that I want to use as an HTPC. It has an Ion 2 graphics setup, but I have been unable to get openelec to boot on it. I have tried both the legacy several of the pre 2.0 and both 64 bit and 32 bit builds and the 2.0 build for the ion. The only version I have gotten to run was the generic build, but it runs a generic driver. I have tried other distros of linux, with similar issues in getting the ion 2's optimus graphics to work (I am assuming this is the issue), but the build was specifically said to work with ion 2's. I want to use HDMI out for audio and video since the built-in screen has issues.
Do I need to build an xorg.conf file to use the HDMI?
How do I do this when openelec won't boot?
Has anyone used the 1215N before and found a working configuration?
Can you use SSH when the system hangs at this point?
