Fusion build high idle CPU usage

I'm not sure if there's any harm done, but my 4 core fusion chip uses 100% of at least one of it's cores all the time, even only displaying the CPU info. It's kind of worrying though, as I can't improve the ventilation of the machine. As AMD drivers make the CPU decode some of the formats a baseline 100% CPU usage on one or more cores also hurts my power bill and prevents me on keeping the computer on 24/7 as I originally planned.

PS. is it normal that any of the forum pages never finish loading a page (the spinner keeps spinning)

I havé the same issue
By the past i've that could be related to the commun cache plugin.
But this Time i cheched and it is not the cause.

Logfile please - make sure you run an official version.

We ship a damn old AMD driver with it (12.11), cause all newer AMD drivers exactly causes the issues you describe.

How do you measure the CPU? In the System - Info screen? That one is updated two times a second and measurement is not very exact (cause it produces high load). Try to measure with the RSS FEED turned off. Login via ssh and start "top". You can see other programs in top, too - perhaps one of those does the trouble. Also start measuring -first- after OE is 10 minutes up, cause of the Settings Plugin initializing - which needs a lot of cpu. Now check the different windows, like:

Verify that System->Settings->System -> Video Hardware: Vertical Blank Sync: Always Enabled is checked - without this, the cpu will render full speed (always).

Hmm, top shows different values (better) also noticed that "wiimote" was the highest CPU user with 25%. Killed it and the highest use is now the xmbc process with 7-8% CPU, which is kind of ok I guess. Will do more testing if needed when I get home. I hope this helps with the extremely sluggish internet access (youtube, ip tv service) I'm having since the last update. Maybe even openelec settings and shutdown will work better.

Update: removed couple other unused add-ons and now the CPU usage stays below 10% when idle jumping between different cores. Much better, temperature is also 7 degrees less than what it used to be. Additional bonus is that after removing the add-ons and a restart for example youtube is a lot snappier, like it used to be and openelec settings work again. Even reboot and shutdown actually work now. So yes, next time I keep in mind that openelec is a linux below the pretty XBMC and all the normal tools are available
