Hmm, top shows different values (better) also noticed that "wiimote" was the highest CPU user with 25%. Killed it and the highest use is now the xmbc process with 7-8% CPU, which is kind of ok I guess. Will do more testing if needed when I get home. I hope this helps with the extremely sluggish internet access (youtube, ip tv service) I'm having since the last update. Maybe even openelec settings and shutdown will work better.
Update: removed couple other unused add-ons and now the CPU usage stays below 10% when idle jumping between different cores. Much better, temperature is also 7 degrees less than what it used to be. Additional bonus is that after removing the add-ons and a restart for example youtube is a lot snappier, like it used to be and openelec settings work again. Even reboot and shutdown actually work now. So yes, next time I keep in mind that openelec is a linux below the pretty XBMC and all the normal tools are available
