Hi,
Already have an Acer RL70 as an OpenELEC machine, but I'm now also working on a media-dedicated room in a new home I just moved into. Have heard a lot about the advantages of a custom build but I'm looking for basically a top-of-the-line pre-built system which can:
-Play anything up to and including 1080p Blu-ray remuxes (maybe even 3D Blu-ray iso-s or SBS/OU mkv's if OpenELEC supports them), even high-bitrate stuff if possible (eg. a 4K encode of Elysium trailer at ~100Mpbs)
-Reliable 24fps output support
-Bitstream HD audio (DTS-HD MA, Dolby TrueHD, PCM, whatever) over HDMI and maybe optical S/PDIF
-Good SSD for a fast and stable OpenELEC install and store content (mainly music library and some films, will probably get external drive for the latter though)
-Wake on LAN (HTPC will be directly connected to ethernet instead of wifi)
-Most importantly, needs to be non-problematic to install/setup OpenELEC on (eg. had some problems while installing on my Revo with audio not working out of the box etc.)
Heard some good stuff about the AsRock systems...don't know which one to go for
Thanks in advance!
