I recently installed a Hauppauge 900H TV Tuner running on Openelec 3.0.6. I set up Tvheadend service that comes with this release and the Tvheadened pvr addon. After starting up the tvheadend configuration in the browser and navigating to devices, I see the tvtuner identified as a Zarlink ZL10353 for some reason.
1. First question has any user with the same tvtuner seen this and got it working identifed as such, and is this correct?
I have checked the firmware on linuxtv linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-T_USB_Dev...ed_USB_DVB-T_devices and the version identified for my device (xc3028L-v36.fw) is available in lib/firmware for openelec. So all looks good from that perspective.
After configuring tvheadend, setting up by scanning muxes all the appropriate channels are appearing and look correct for my country (New Zealand). The EPG looks good too, up to date correct listings for today. However when I view the status overview I see it listed as Bad for the device
When I try to view a channel through the built in Tvheadend viewer get black image (no picture) and through xbmc pvr addon the same, as well as a message "tvheadened HTSP client no service enabled"
The aerial connection is fine by the looks as TV looks crisp and clear when viewed directly through the TV (which has a built in digital Freeview TV tuner), rather than through xbmc and the Hauppauge 900h.
Really not sure where to go from here, hoping for some assistance. Openelec and xbmc are magnificent, really hoping to extend this by adding in live tv to the mix.
