Is this a good deal? eBay AppleTV with BCM970015

Hi everyone. I'm new here, (and new to XBMC), and looking at possibly buying a used AppleTV 1G with Broadcom hardware card.

I found this on eBay: AppleTV 1st Gen JAILBROKEN XBMC, NaviX, Adult, LiveTV, Sports BCM970015 1080p http://r.ebay.com/YNUlSB

It looks like this thing is a complete solution? Is this correct?

Any input or suggestions from the community would be greatly appreciated.

Should be fine, though at this point I'd consider the 1G Apple TV old technology. Looking at where the price is going to, there's other options that are a bit more modern for the same price or perhaps a bit more.

Yes this is a complete machine, don't need anything else to run XBMC.

personally i would stay away from this offers (all with this whole addon stuff preinstalled):

- they are overpriced in my eyes, you pay more or less for the Installation, which is basically fine, but many addons may be "piracy" addons
- you will not get many support from this sellers, also you cant get any support here, because we dont know what and how its installed, in the end you maybe must reinstall this device, which you could have cheaper if you buy a ATV without the whole stuff preinstalled
- if possible look for a ATV alternative, i cant say much for now, but the ATV is is very old device. Its possible any support will end sooner or later
- for around the same price you can get a celeron NUC, this devices are more powerfull and it makes more fun to use XBMC/OpenELEC on this devices

save pennies and buy something current, not something released in 2007 based on 2005/6 era hardware .. unless you only ever plan to watch 2005/6 era SD media
