Transmission freezing on RPi

I am running OpenElec 3.2.4 on RaspberryPi. I installed transmission from the unofficial repo. I have an issue that transmission gets "frozen" a lot. In such case it cannot connect to the rpc webif, it is just loading the page forever and it seems that no additional data is downloaded. There is no error message in transmission log. Only a reboot of the Pi fixes this (transmission.stop, transmission start does not help). Does anybody experience such issues?

I've been using Transmission on my RPi with OE 3.2.4 since is was released until yesterday when I upgraded to OE 4.0 without any of the issue you mention. I have around 100 seeding torrent.

My first advice would be to upgrade too as it's a nice improvement for XBMC

When I first installed my RPi I face some delays with transmission-remote commands. A quick check of the system showed I had a lot of CPU used fo IO due to NTFS storage. All this issues diseppeared when I change for ext4 filesystem instead.

What filesystem type do you use for your download path ?
