[4.0] Suspend and Resume Removed Why?

mixup in question asked and there is another forum post about this which I have contributed to instead.

Suspend/resume is only disabled when running from removable storage (USB/SD/etc). This is due to the way these devices are handled and some problems and inconsistencies that go along with it.

There is a work around but we do not support officially support it, so if you use it be aware that other issues may arise.

I did the work around with removing the following file in the autostart.sh

rm /dev/.suspend_disabled

but what I found is that others said that it was just greyed out but the option doesn't even exist in openelec setting app I have. Am I going wrong somewhere as this was an upgrade I did. Should I just do a complete rebuild.
