Now DVBLink is in the process of releasing a new version (5.0) of their TV server (for now in RC1). Among other things (transcoding, etc), this features a server based time shifting function. In order to get that functionality the PVR XBMC addon plugin requires to be upgraded to the version v1.9.1. I would like to know if that version will be soon integrated in an update of OpenELec or what could be done to manually get that new version of the plugin?

For the DVBLINK v5 RC1 it is all documented at the dvblogic website. See http://dvblogic.com/en/news/62-dvblink-v...te-status/ and follow the link to the forum (or look here: http://forum.dvblogic.com/viewtopic.php?f=111&t=27599).
To be honest: with VDR and VNSI now working smoothly with timeshift under XBMC 13/OE4 I'd rather switch to a free and mature VDR solution (server and client) rather than paying for another DVBLINK upgrade. Gump

Yes, but will those addon builds work with OpenElec?
Do you have some pointers on the PVR solutions you are suggesting. Can the server work on readynas?

Don't know if VDR will run on ReadyNAS. Vdr & VNSI are already integrated in OpenElec, you only need to activate the addons.
