Install Python development headers without apt-get

Hi folks,

I'm brand new to Python and I've just purchased my first Raspberry PI using Xbmc Openelec.
Trying to get my PiGlow to work.

Currently trying to install python so I can get the PiGlow to work, I'm connecting via SSH to the PI from my Mac.

But when I'm trying to use apt-get and sudo Openelec gets very angry with me, spouting that the system doesn't like these.

But I can't find any instructions via The Google to help me in my endeavours.

I need to install RPi.GPIO Python Library, I have this copied to my PI via FTP and I have it extracted to a folder but I get an error. So I need the Python development headers installed first (Which come as .dev). I've extracted this to a folder in storage but it still gives me the same error when trying to install.

Can anyone help me??

OpenELEC is not Ubuntu. You can't develop in OpenELEC. You have to build you own OpenELEC from scratch using the sources from github.

The Path variable lists the directories that will be searched for executables when you type a command in the command prompt. uk essay wrtiting service  By adding the path to the Python executable, you will be able to access python.
