Hi there,
after running openelec on an overclocked Raspberry (slightly, 900Mhz etc. with some medium cooling) and being quite happy with this setup I couldnt resist and test the cubox. I got a CuBox-i4Pro and did my first run. My first impressions so far, using a Gbit-NAS with readily scraped movies:
4.95.2 fresh on sd-cards with basic setup & default confluence:
- Scraping with "local information only" seems to be slower as on the raspi ?? I didn´t measure the time, but I would have expected that with cpu-power & Gbit-LAN (I´m using wire) the scraping of local information should be much faster ?!?
- My first assumption, slow sd-cards, so I tried two new ones... but with same results, I dont get more than ~18mb read, just as on the raspi:
So, whats going on ? How can I find the bottleneck ?
- HDMI-Wake & Sleep doesnt work properly with my Samsung F6500
A Restart shuts down the TV, but doesnt wake it up again
- No real shutdown of Openelec ?
I´ve already read that cubox isnt designed to be powered off, but there are different reasons why some people really need the option just to power off things.
And the comment that the cubox consumes only 1W idling isnt true for openelec. I measured ~4W & 67°C (die-temp), just idling in confluence (fresh image without addons). This is way to much for a device I dont even use every day...
So, anyone else already tried to get rid of these ?
How can HDMI-behaviour etc. be configured (like config.txt on raspi) ?
Anyone tried to completly power down the cubox ? Or send it to some standy-mode ?
Cheers
