That kind of came across like a jerky statement, just fyi, as I asked him to report back if he made any progress by changing out the GPU. This gives us a good insight into that it is in fact, an issue with AMD APUs and Onkyo receivers. Something in the linux driver for the AMD units is not talking with the audio over hdmi output being sent to these receivers.
The issue that I believe the poster above me is trying to make, is that with the integrated units some of us are running, we cannot switch out the GPU for a different manufacturer, so this has to be resolved on the driver level most likely.
