CuBox-i2eX -5.0- Movies with no video,audio only

Hi everybody, I have a cubox i2ex with OE5 installed (not fresh install, I started with kodi betas).
Everything works fine for me and I'm very enthusiastic of both hardware and software.
Except for some small bugs there is a problem which is driving me mad: for certain movies I hear only audio, without video. The movie seems to be started (audio starts playing) but kodi remains on the media selector "page".

I cannot find any mentions on the internet about problem like this, except the one related to missing license key for mpeg-2 codec on RaspberryPI!

Do someone already have had this kind of problem? Did he find a solution outside re-encoding the movie? Of course I can re-encode the movie, but I would like to understand why it doesn't work!

I'm having a similar problem on the i4. After rebooting I can usually play one or two video files and then it locks up. The audio will play but the video will not. I cannot stop the stream either. I have to unplug the adapter in order to reboot it.

This makes the device unusable. I'd love some help here.
