Upgrade to 5.0.1 failed on cubox-i4

Just upgraded from 5.0.0 to 5.0.1. System downloaded extracted reboot and installed. Then on the next reboot I get a rescue shell, and any reboot after that. The upgrade 5.0.1 just bricked my media centre. Good thing I only recently did a disk image of my system that can I rewrite to the card.

Once I rewrite the backup is upgrading worthwhile or will the same error repeat.

There is a couple of us in the same boat on the Cubox portion of this forum. I am building a new SD card from scratch using 5.0.1 to see if it works as a new install.

Just installed 5.0.1 on a different SD card, and all is well. Seems the fresh install works, but the upgrade doesnt?

Same here but using a raspberry pi. Not thrilled about having to do a clean install. May have to switch to Kodi :ohmy:

Same for me with RP1. Downgraded to 5.0.0 with replacing files in flash folder on SDCard via PC.
After that it booted again. Any fix/workaround for RP1 available?
