No wireless network option under openelec settings

Hi,

I'm trying to set up wireless connection on my RPi B+ runnning openELEC 5.0.8
Problem is that I cannot enable wi-fi from openelec settings because there's no such option. There is setting for wired connection (enable/disable) but if I have understood correct there should be similiar setting for wireless too. I have tried with two different wi-fi dongle (which boith should work with RPi) without any luck.

Am I doing something wrong or what could be the cause?

Programs --> OpenELEC settings add-on --> Network --> Wireless Networks --> active (checked)

then,
Programs --> OpenELEC settings add-on --> Connections --> <wireless ssid name>

If that doesn't work then perhaps your wireless dongle isn't supported.

Thanks for your reply. I still can't set wireless networks as active because that option doesn't exist.

Please ssh and post the output of the following commands while your wireless dongle is plugged in

Also change to the default confluence skin to see if it makes a difference.

I'll try that tomorrow and post my results. I need to make some arrangements to connect mu RPi with ethernet cable.

I decided to get another wifi dongle (TP-Link TL-WN823N) because at the moment I don't have time to learn how to attach driver to openelec image. Now it works great.

I have found that some OpenElec builds have wireless and some do not. That is the problem with many builds, both Android and Open Elec. I have been stuck with a build that I couldn't reflash many of times and it is always the bad builds with no wifi that get stuck installed on your box. I am looking for a website that tests builds and lists the OpenElec builds that do have wireless guaranteed and the ones that only have wired connections. I have noticed that only 10% of the builds for Amlogic boxes have a wireless option

Is that accurate? Surely the new builds all have wifi? I'm asking because I'm having the same problem but I just can't comprehend that the latest build would have no wifi? I have a RPi2b and the rpi wifi usb. Have done a fresh install of Openelec on my microsd card with 8.0.0. The option for wireless network just isn't there. I'm at a loss.
