I have installed OpenELEC-Generic.x86_64-5.95.1 on USB stick using Win32DiskImager.
but when I try to boot my laptop from USB and press f12 to select boot option, I am able to select the USB drive, but it doesn't boot.
It's a DELL Inspiron 15 3543 (3000 Series)
5th Generation Intel Core i5-5200U Processor
which is quite new.
.. I have made the following changes in the BOOT setup .....
Dell Inc. Aptio Setup Utility - American Megatrends Inc.
(T) Boot
Boot List Option [Legacy] default was [UEFI]
Secure Boot [Disabled] default was [Enabled]
I have booted the USB successfully on my older laptop which has the legacy BIOS.
Has anyone experienced this before?
I appreciate my problem is not related to the OpenELEC software, but is caused by restrictions of the new UEFI boot software, but any help would be appreciated. Even pointing me in the right direction would be good.
Regards, Hugh
