Hi,
I've installed OpenELEC on my brand new NUC5i5RYH.
My music collection consists entirely of FLAC files, which
are on a 2.5" SATA HDD inside the NUC. The NUC has
masses of resources - Intel i5 Core CPU + 8GB RAM.
Yet during playback I'm experiencing jumps. The jumps
are NOT in the source files, and seem to occur at random.
I've noticed this with the following setups:
OpenELEC 5.0.8 AND 5.95.1
- NUC analogue (3.5mm jack) output attached to PC speakers (no passthrough)
- NUC digital HDMI output going to AVR (passthrough enabled)
CPU load is less than 1%, RAM usage ~ 1.2GB (as shown by top), so plenty
of spare capacity there.
A friend suggested turning off Pulse Audio - but I believe this is done by default in OpenELEC,
not sure ...
Any suggestions?
