Error from this new repo for iptvsimple addon (requires xbmc.pvr version 3.0.0 which is not available):

Manually updating the addon it has fixed the problem. It still says that update is available for iptv simple addon but it works.

The addons.xml for the new repo (which is built from addon.xml extracted from each addon) clearly shows <requires><c-pluff version="0.1"/><import addon="xbmc.pvr" version="1.9.6"/></requires> so I'm not sure why that's the case but will poke about. I won't be near a box to test for a while so are there any others that don't install?

your backup script link is wrong on the site. Instead of

wget http://chewitt.openelec.tv/appletv/migrate-openelec && chmod +x migrate-openelec

it should be

wget http://chewitt.openelec.tv/migrate-openelec && chmod +x migrate-openelec

In addition it is missing "fi" on line 187

Oops, thanks for spotting the URL change. I must have fat-thumbed the 'fi' as it was definitely there when I tested the script. Aside from that it worked fine?

Just a heads up , all your .tar update files for some reason have a .xz extension and will not Manual Update properly until renamed.

Users simply need to drop the .xz and manually use the resulting .tar named file in the usual .update directory.

Apple TV wifi doesn't seem to work in this release. I can connect to both 2.4 and 5 GHz 802.11n, but any network connection is very slow and system freezes.

It's deliberate; the file is 140MB compressed and 280MB without .. but should be gzipped (.tar.gz) not with .tar.xz? It may be worthwhile modifying the init script to handle .tar.gz files again. I thought it still did as we used to distribute update files in that format. It shouldn't be hard to add back. I did put a note on the main webpage about needing to unzip first, but perhaps not in the forum post above.

Sorry I was getting my .xz and .gz mixed up. Regardless the OpenELEC manual update system does not recognise any .tar files named .tar.gz They have to be renamed first.
Another OpenELEC build system I'm using just spits out plain .tar update packages, no need to do any renaming, I always thought this was the usual manual update naming convention ie just plain .tar ?

It's probably been a couple of years since I last tested wireless, although we switched Generic to the same broadcom wl driver some time back and either nobody uses it or there's not been any reported problems. If the system freezes: is it Kodi freezing or the OS layer? does it unfreeze? anything obvious in dmesg? ..also install wireless_tools from the unofficial repo to check signal strength etc.
