Need help updating (Chromebox)

Hello.. This is my first post so forgive me if this is the wrong forum, and please move where appropriate.. I'm trying to update to the latest version. I read the instructions and have a few questions.

First off, I'm running version 5.0.4 on an ASUS M004U

When I I go to OpenElec Configuration and choose Check for update now- nothing happens. I also have Automatic Updates set to Auto but it has not updated to the latest version. I referred to the Wiki to try and manually update but am not having success. I states that I need the IP of the Chromebox by going to System then to System Info. I enter the IP address on my browser and it takes me to a page that says:

KODI Profiles Remote Movies TV Shows Music

I'm not getting the page displayed in the Wiki showing all the various folders

I thought perhaps I was going to the wrong System option so I again opened OpenElec Configuration went to System but there was no System Info tab, nor IP address to be found..

Any help would be appreciated..');

Welcome to the forum.
I recently updated my Chromebox, and my method was only slightly different from the one recommended on the wiki. However, I suggest that you first backup your userdata using the Openelec addon.
I'm using Ubuntu Mate on my desktop machine so I went to Places -> Network, found my Openelec box and dragged the software package into the Update folder. The method should be similar using a Windows machine.
I found it necessary to do a "soft" reset afterward, so the backup proved to be very useful.

I tried that and it just opens my internet browser (Chrome) and takes me to the same page..

I am assuming windows.

Go to the start button and in the search field at the bottom type

Yes, I'm running Windows 10.. I enter the IP in the exact format you said in the search box, and it immediately opens my web browser and takes me to the same page. I'm wondering of I'm using the proper IP but as described in my post it's the only one I can find..

OK maybe windows 10 does it different.

WinSCP should work. It is a windows program to transfer files via SCP.

Make sure that you have SMB (Samba) enabled in OpenELEC.

KODI menu- System > OpenELEC > Services

Finally got it sorted.. Now next newb question.. Which package do I use for the ASUS Chromebox?? The generic 64?
