Is it possible to compile from source OpenELEC version 6 (Generic)
with older drivers for example. ION2 nvidia: 340.76 or 340.93 .... it's probably the last to support ION

I know ... and I use...... legacy 304.128
but the problem is it possible remains :-)

compilation version 6 (generic / Legacy) was successful .... I have a feeling that the drivers for ION2 version 340.76 is a little better. Or is it just an impression? If that's too complicated this ... thanks but had let go Ps. I even built a new Linux box just so that I could play some more with this stuff. I did have the build process fail once when one of the other sources needed could not be downloaded, but I did a make clean and retried the following evening without problems. I may try a quick rebuild with 340.96 this evening, since rebuilding with only the driver changing does not take too long.

I think we have the same motherboard:
Asus AT5IONT-I .. :whistle: Can you create and share a version 6 OE ( nvidia driver : 340.96 ) I use 64-bit Builds (x86_64) I would be grateful and certainly others will be useful version of the ION / ION2 Ps. I also try again ... but surely again ...... error :-)
Yes - you have the same board. See if this works for you....
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hjmt08l560gxku...9.tar?dl=0 Just drop the tar file into \openelecupdate (if from a Windows machine) and then reboot to perform a regular update. The build is the regular OE6.0 Nvidia Legacy build using Kodi 15.2 with the 340.96 Nvidia driver and I also put back in the CPU temperature code from OE 4.2.0, since that broke a long time ago when it was changed at version 4.2.1. There are no other changes from standard. Disclaimer - I only built the code with the two changes mentioned above. I am not responsible if it breaks anything, kills your pet goldfish, or anything else...

Thank you very much for your version of OE6 with drivers 340.96 ( ION/ION2 ) I recommend to others users ION ......even to check is there a difference ......legacy 304.128 thanks again for your hard work ... regards! |
