Security Updates for OpenElec 5.0.8

I installed OpenElec through a pre-built NOOBS card that I received from my Pi 2 vendor. When it finished, I noticed that I was running OE 5.0.8 and of course, Murphy's Law, OE 6 is available.

I'm quite green with OE and was wondering about two things:

1. If I don't upgrade to OE 6, will OE 5.0.8 keep getting security updates and everything in Kodi works on this version of OE for me?

2. Is there some really simple step by step instructions on how to upgrade from OE 5.0.8 to OE 6.

1. No - v5.0.8 is the final maintenance release in the 5.x series - no further maintenance updates will be issued. If it works for you, it works for you. If it doesn't work for you - consider updating to 6.0.0.
