Recognizes drives on install, but not in OpenElec

I decided to dump my current installation of OpenElec because of CouchPotato issues, and while I am doing this I decided to swap out a 1.5TB drive with a 6TB drive among other drives (NTFS formatted).

So i did the install, and during the install it recognized all three of my data drives, including the new drive, and my boot SSD drive. Did the install, got into my fresh OpenElec install, and it is only recognizing my original drives, not the new 6TB drive.

Thoughts?

I decided to try an interesting task. I took one of the working drives out of the box, renamed the drive on another machine. Reinstalled that drive and then reinstalled OpenElec. It now does not recognize that drive although if is do a ls /dev/sd* I do see the other drives hanging around:

/dev/sda /dev/sda2 /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdc /dev/sdc2 /dev/sdd1
/dev/sda1 /dev/sdb /dev/sdb2 /dev/sdc1 /dev/sdd /dev/sdd2

So my only assumption is that automount is not working, and when I reinstalled it did not fully wipe out all my previous settings.

The usual problem with NTFS drives not showing up is an unclean mount from another OS and Linux refusing to mount the dirty filesystem - there will be errors in dmesg if that's the case.

Yes I did discover an unclean mount on it. Ended up doing a ext4 reformat of the new drive. I am doing a windows checkdisk on the other since that drive has data on it.

Hmmm I ran a chkdsk with repair option on my windows box for this drive. All came up good. Shit down, put the drive in my OpenElec box, same issue of an unclean file system. I also tried a read-only mount (mount -t ntfs -o ro /dev/sdb2 /media/Media-3TB) but it still comes up with a unclean file system issue.

Seems my only recourse is to mount this into my PC, network the devices, and copy over data. This will take likely a day and a half (1.5TB of data) so naturally the quicker I can get this fixed the better.

SOLUTION: Damn fast bootup was enabled (I thought it was disabled) but apparently the upgrade to Win10 re-enabled it. Was able to do a quick chkdsk, and all is good.
