Hello All,
I'll start by saying I am new to openELEC and somewhat of a noob to Linux based OS's. I am however very good with computers as I have spent a few years coding software in .net and have been using computers since we got our first one 25 years ago. Anyway I bought this cheap MXQ box that was basically worthless and started looking into getting openELEC installed. I found a compatible version and got everything flashed. The OS boots up but I have no remote control. Seems to be a common problem so I started reading some tutorials and everything seems to be pretty straight forward. The problem that I have is that I get ssh connection refused and the only instructions that I can find tell you to go into settings and enable it, which is impossible without a working remote. So I am trying to find out if there is another way to enable it, or if someone already has the remote and autostart.sh files that are compatible with my box. I am able to view and edit the storage directory on the box by navigating to it with windows explorer over my network. I opened it up and the marking on the motherboard says HTC-MXQ-V4. It came in a package that said OTT TV Box. It is all black and has a label marked MXQ on the top. There are no buttons on it. Please let me know if you need any more details and if you can offer any help at all to me.
Thanks,
Brad
