Kodi boot keeps looping at the logo (video added)

I've installed the generic 5.0.8 version on my laptop. It's booting fine but when Kodi 14.x starts, the logo disappears suddenly, the screen goes black and then the logo pops back up and that's going on forever in a loop. Any ideas?
