rTorrent won't work after upgrading to OE 8.0.4

Hi Jenkins et al

I recently upgraded from OE 6.0.3 to 8.0.4 (on Raspberry Pi 3B) and everything except rTorrent is working. I've done a lot of googling and found no solution, most similar topics are quite old and have solutions that worked for some people but not others.

My configuration settings are all correct. I've tried deleting settings.xml file as suggested in some posts.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling from both the unofficial repo and super repo.
dtach and php are both installed, but I'm not if php is working, I've tried a few versions of php to see if it makes a diffference.

If I run rtorrent.stop it doesn't throw any errors but if I then do rtorrent.start I get the following:

The files it's saying don't exist are there.

I've disabled and re-enabled and rebooted more times than I can count...

Can anybody help? I'm willing to start from scratch!
